Investing in the Future
Leading PVCu fabricator Sash UK is always looking for new ways to keep moving forward and this year sees the start of its apprentices programme. Sash’s experts of the future, Jessica Rowley, 17, and Matt Dove, 19, have joined the company opting for on the job training as a path to their future careers.
In today’s competitive job market, Matt and Jessica believe that gaining experience and learning-by-doing will help them to get full-time employment in the area of their choice. Matt is currently in Sash’s Order Processing and Commercial departments, aiming to work his way into management. Jessica is hoping to progress her skills in Ph
otoshop and copywriting while administrating new marketing initiatives for Sash. Jessica is also providing support as the first point of contact for customer’s marketing requests.
“We have been really impressed by the ambition and enthusiasm of the apprentices,” said Sash UK Marketing Manager, Jon Harper. “They’ve brought something new to the Company, showing great initiative and an eagerness to learn. Matt and Jessica are already a great asset to the Company and the customers they serve. Keep up the good work!”
The apprenticeship programme allows candidates to work in several areas of the business, giving them a full understanding of the industry and how the Company works, before finding a specialism to focus on. Already proving to be a success, Sash is looking to recruit more apprentices in the near future. Keep an eye out for updates on the progress of Jessica and Matt later in the year.
