Quickslide has launched a stylish, great looking new website that again sets standards by successfully combining aesthetics with superb functionality, including the ability for customers to specify and order VS windows online, in addition to tracking and managing existing orders and quotations.
The site, at www.quickslide.co.uk is designed to be user friendly, with clear graphics and easy, logical sequences to ensure users can order products, generate quotations and check on existing orders quickly.
At the core of the site is information on Quickslide’s products. Each-vertical sliders, casement windows, casement doors, composite doors and bi-folding doors has its own button which takes users to an overview of that product group, with a similar set of buttons that drill down to offer more details of, for example ‘colours’, ‘hardware’ choices and ‘additional options’. As each button is selected as appropriate the graphic changes to illustrate the users choice.
the key to the new Quickslide site is the brand new facility that allows the user to design, price and order their windows online, again using superb graphics and logical, step by step procedures.
Buyers, no matter how many or how few windows they wish to order, may now do so any time of the day or night, with human fail safe to ensure that errors are avoided.
An important feature is the trade log in that includes individual discount structures and terms of Quickslide’s trade customers. Orders may be placed using the clever graphic and features of the system but pricing will automatically reflect the trade discounts.
The system also includes automatic and human checks and fail safe’s to ensure correct ordering, as Quickslide chairman Adrian Barraclough explains: “The system is sophisticated enough to pick up simple errors such as ordering the wrong hardware or accessories. However, every order will be reviewed and will only be fed into production once everything has been cleared by an auditor – a human!”
This will ensure that errors are eradicated but, says Adrian, there is a more important, fundamental principle behind this: “People do business with people, and we don’t want that way of working to disappear with the Internet, however good it might be.” Extending this principle the website automatically records buying patterns, which then generates alerts and reminders, including special offers and deals that relate to customers ordering history.
The online specification and ordering system will initially cover VS windows. Bi-folding and composite doors will be included from this Summer, and casement windows from 2013.
