For four consecutive years, GlassTalk has provided a significant platform for the window, door, conservatory and flat glass industries, simply by recognising a simple human trait, the art of conversation – people like to talk and discuss similar interests with like minded people. GlassTalk, therefore, simply delivers a forum, a mechanism, through which people can express themselves, make new contacts, develop original ideas; it is the people that attend GlassTalk that make it a real success.
This year the event is being held on November 15th at Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire with the focus as ever on networking, providing the opportunity to meet other industry professionals with common goals and interests. This year the organisers will introduce a new format in which delegates will discuss the topics presented as part of the programme and then asked to direct feedback to key influencers and policy makers.
At the event, the GGF will be guest speaking on the Green Deal as well as being available throughout the entire day on their exhibition stand in the main foyer, to discuss issues with GGF Members and to inform non-members just what they are missing by not being part of the industry’s leading Federation.
Giles Willson, GGF Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Technical Affairs commented, “In previous years, GlassTalk has proved to be a very good event and it’s always useful to hear the views of those in the wider industry. This year with Green Deal and other areas of legislation concerning many in the industry, it promises to be an interesting and informative event.”
The GGF would encourage all Members to book their places at GlassTalk and to join in the debates, the networking and ask the GGF staff in attendance any questions on the industry issues or on the GGF in general.
