For those who follow me on Twitter (@glazingblogger) and for those who read my site (www.doubleglazingblogger.com) you will know that I have been planning a major re-vamp of the DGB site. Well it’s only a few days away now and I am in the final stages of planning everything from looks and layout, to content and guest posts.
If there is anyone who would like to post a guest article (no advertorials please!) please contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org and I will happily make them live when the new site goes up!
Now for a bit some something exclusive to MyTradeTV. I can confirm two things. The first is that my new site name is officially going to be DGB v3.0. If you have read previous articles posted by me you will have seen that I have been titling them as DGB 3.0, well I have decided to make that the official name of the site seen as though it will be the third version of the blogging site.
The second is that I can reveal my logo! I have had my site for over four years and not once have I ever had an official logo or moniker or something to give my site a bit of branding. So below is a very clean, basic, non-flashy insignia that will sit proudly at the top of every DGB web page:
It may not seem very much on the surface of it, but this is the very first detail I have now published as to how the new site is going to look! You will have to wait until June 10th to see the rest of it!
DGB v3.0 is going to have a much brighter, fresher feel than it’s current guise. Many of you have complained that my previous two versions have been too dark and too dull and that has sometimes made reading the site hard. Well the new version overcomes these faults and will hopefully make my new home far more pleasing on the eye!
DGB has evolved from a place to shout my mouth off, to a site which is now more industry representative and has much more news content. The new DGB site will reflect this in it’s design and will be far more content-rich than previous versions. Before, posts just got buried behind new ones, never to be seen again. With DGB v3.0 I will be able to cover industry subjects like Green Deal and CE Marking far more in-depth and concisely. There will also be more fantastic advertising opportunities coming up later on in the year! 😉
I’d love to tell you more, but I won’t! So you’ll have to see for yourself come June 10th! I want thank everyone that continues to read my daily musings and leave comments and of course my sponsors! Your interaction is vital and has helped build DGB up to be one of the main sites in the industry! I hope that everyone will continue to read on and help DGB grow as the years roll on!
