UAP TradeLocks has announced the release of the latest addition to its range of specialised locksmith tools, the TradeLocks Mortice Lock Impressioning Kit.
This new innovation from TradeLocks will enable locksmiths to easily impression a mortice lock and then create a temporary replica key on the spot. This means that non-destructive entry will be possible in just minutes, making it ideal for carrying out warrants and for times when the key has been locked inside the home.
The TradeLocks Mortice Lock Impressioning Kit has been developed with a leading locksmith in the warrant field. There will be six different sets released over time; the first two available will be the Legge and the Union impressioning kits.
TradeLocks MD David Jennings said: “We started TradeLocks in 2009 with the aim of offering locksmiths affordable high quality tools, and to make their jobs a little easier by supplying tools that will be useful when out on a job. The Mortice Lock Impressioning Kit has been long in development to do just that. Everything within the kit is reusable and thorough testing has been carried out by Nigel Tolley to ensure that it will be an essential part of any locksmiths’ tool kit.”
Each kit comes in a well-designed rugged case with moulded foam interior, this helps to keep everything together and in good condition. The kit includes stainless steel pins, impressioning key blanks, makeup keys, putty and talc for creating an impression, grease for holding the pins into place on the replica key, tweezers and instructions.
David continues: “We have seen a lot of interest in the Mortice Lock Impressioning Kit, the Legge kit and Union kit will be available from TradeLocks soon. We will also carry on developing further sets which will be available throughout next year.”
