DIGITAL specialist The Consultancy has joined forces with the country’s leading garage door manufacturer to launch a revolutionary piece of software.
The North East-based company, which specialises in web solutions for the glazing industry, was approached by The Garage Door Company to design a new online package that enables customers to choose the exact specification of the garage door they want and visualise how it could look alongside their own home.
The software, which is the first of its kind for garage doors in the UK, will not only make the ordering process faster and simpler but save The Garage Door Company thousands of pounds every year.
Director of The Consultancy Richie Thornton said: “The package we’ve designed will make the whole process from start to finish so much easier and more efficient. It means the customer can choose a garage door to their own specification – the style, the colour, the size – and then see how it will look against their home.
“For the company it reduces the chances of errors being made as the customer can find out in just a few clicks whether the design they want is available. And because of the speed at which an order can be placed, they’ll also see massive savings.
“The software is the first of its kind in the UK and we think other companies will be quick to see the benefits of introducing something like this. It will certainly revolutionise the process of shopping for garage doors.”
There are over two million garage door design combinations available and the technology now available through The Garage Door Company’s website means all options can be explored or ruled out in just a few easy steps.
The Consultancy, whose clients include Door Stop; Custom Made Group; Edge Tech; Quick Slide; Renolit; Beaufort UK, recently attended the inaugural FIT show in Telford where it handled more than 70 enquiries about its products. And as it continues to grow, it is hoping to double its workforce by the end of the year.
