Distinction Doors has donated £1,500 to The Children’s Hospital Charity for Christmas presents. The generous donation will be used by Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust to buy presents for the young patients who are in hospital over the festive period. After visiting the hospital to learn more about the care for children in one of just four dedicated hospitals in the country, Drew Wright, Managing Director of Distinction Doors, said:
“It was a very humbling experience to visit the hospital and see how donations make such a difference. As a Barnsley employer, we know many parents and families who have been touched by the good work of the Trust. We have a strong connection to the hospital and will continue to support the excellent work they do.”
Distinction Doors has been established in Tankersley since its launch in 2004. Specialising in GRP composite doors, the company has affirmed its position as the UK market leader and is keen to give back to the local community.
As well as contributing to The Children’s Hospital Charity this December, the company have pledged to raise more to go towards vital equipment and support services which the team experienced first-hand when they visited the hospital.
Tchad Western, Corporate Fundraiser at The Children’s Hospital Charity said, “This isn’t the first donation we’ve received from Distinction Doors and we are extremely grateful to the team for their ongoing support to the hospital funds. It’s always positive to see local companies backing us and appreciating the finance needed in order to keep the hospital to the high standard the children and their families deserve, especially during the Christmas season when families just want to be together at home.
It’s up to us to ensure the hospital has everything they could require, so the extra help is most definitely appreciated.”
