Ellanor Windows in Bridlington, East Yorkshire, has become the latest company to switch to the new Mila ProSecure multi-point door lock for all of its PVC doors.
The Swish fabricator, which supplies trade and retail customers throughout East Yorkshire and beyond, says the new Secured by Design lock meets the quality and performance standards of the lock it was using previously but at a more competitive price.
A key benefit for Ellanor in using the ProSecure solution is that it can now offer customers a complete Mila solution on its doors – from the multi-point door lock to the ProSecure door handle and the ProStyle letter box.
This, the company says, is a positive message in both the trade and retail markets where the quality, design and finish of the Mila products and the power of the Mila brand helps to win business.
Ellanor has been using the ProSecure lock for three months and during that time has been impressed both with how easy it is to fabricate and how easy it is adjust on site if required.
This is largely due to the fact that the super strength lock is supplied with a purpose designed one piece C-shaped keep. This meets the same strength specification as the lock and eliminates the requirement for a security plate to be fitted on top in order to meet PAS24 specification. Because there is no security plate, Ellanor have found that they can maintain optimum tolerances on fitting and give themselves more room for adjustment if needed.
For installers, the keep can be adjusted by a common 4mm Allen key rather than by nuts and bolts and it is supplied with twist in packers which are proving secure and easy to adjust.
Ellanor Windows has been a Mila customer almost since it was set up in 2008. During that time, Mila’s guaranteed next day delivery and outstanding customer service have helped the two companies to establish a valuable partnership.
Mila’s regional sales managers, first John Rhodes and now Julie Holmes, have supported Ellanor’s ambitions and have worked alongside them to provide advice and practical help as the company has developed and expanded.
Ellanor’s key strength is in the quality of its manufacturing and the expertise of its team, who have almost 200 years of combined knowledge and experience between them. They manufacture all of their windows to WER A as standard and supply all their products with a full 10 year manufacturer’s warranty.
