Over 60 guests attended the GGF President’s Reception on the 27 February at the GGF Offices to welcome Brian Baker of Glassolutions Saint-Gobain as the 21st President of the Glass and Glazing Federation.
GGF Members, Staff, Suppliers and Members of the Media enjoyed the unique occasion that also saw the GGF pay tribute to outgoing President Mark Warren for his hard work during his two year tenure.
At the Reception, in his welcoming speech, Nigel Rees, GGF Group Chief Executive said, “I welcome Brian as the new President and look forward to working with him throughout his Presidency. His contribution to the GGF Board, Groups, Committees and publications over the last five years has been immense and I have no doubt he will continue in this vein.”
Brian said, “I am truly honoured the Board of Directors have placed their faith in me to be the Federation’s President. I’ll do my very best to continue the work of GGF on all fronts, from political campaigning to maintaining the high technical standards and also to ensure that GGF Members get the support and guidance they need on the many complex issues affecting our industry.”
Nigel Rees concluded, “On behalf of all Members and all connected with the Federation, I wish Brian all the very best in continuing the success of the GGF over the next two years.”
