As a family run company we like nothing better than to get to know our customers and deal with individual requests and queries as quickly and effectively as possible. Based in the North West, we deliver frames both locally and nationally so it’s not always possible to meet everyone face to face. Therefore we decided to increase opportunities to meet existing and potential new customers by attending The FIT Show 2014.
What a challenge preparing for ‘that’ proved to be! It was like planning a wedding, totally exhausting but worth every minute as the three-day event turned out to be a very positive experience for us. Giving our staff the chance to catch up with customers’ new and old, answer some interesting questions and generally enjoy the atmosphere and buzz of a trade exhibition.
We took along a number of examples of our best selling/contemporary frames as a visual reference for people; one of those was the arched combination frame with a seamless bend and built in composite door. To actually see this frame and realise that there are no unsightly welds on show was a bit of an eye-opener for people visiting the stand. It proved a great talking point and generated lots of interest.
The FIT Show was just one way of raising awareness of our company and the products we manufacture. However, in today’s fast flowing and technologically focused world, it pays to be well informed and to be in touch with market changes. Some of the most effective methods of communicating industry trends and understanding customer needs are via social media networks.
