MACO are proud to announce that Petita Wiles, Marketing Coordinator at MACO UK has reached the finalist stage for Social Networker 2014 at the National Fenestration Awards 2014.
The awards aim to recognise those companies and individuals within the Fenestration sector who go the extra mile for their customer partners and MACO are delighted to hear that Petita has been nominated.
Jason Grafton Holt of the awards states ”The NFA’s aim to recognise ALL parts of the fenestration industry, not just the parts that always seem to get the column inches. PVC, aluminium, timber and steel will all be recognised. A focus on the people of the industry will also be a theme throughout these awards. We want the NFA’s to truly represent the whole industry. So who is Petita Wiles?
Supporting the Sales and Marketing Manager, Andy Omand, Petita Wiles Marketing Coordinator for MACO UK spends her day compiling and distributing information regarding products and services for MACO UK. Some of her other duties include writing PR, company brochures, MACO Secure Plus, organising and hosting presentations and industry shows.
More recently Petita has taken on a role in Social Media with the express aim of making MACO more ‘local’. Anyone in the Fenestration industry etc are able to contact MACO through Petita for any MACO related information or help and advice.
”The advantages to me are clear, I am able to interact directly with industry professionals at almost any time of the day. The atmosphere is a lot more relaxed, I find people much more engaging and willing to share information, images etc, I am also able to answer very quickly any questions or queries, something that can take much longer when using traditional contact methods. The relationships I have built up are as a direct result of conversations I have had over social media channels and are one of the highlights for me. I am gaining knowledge and insight every day, it is very addictive” says Petita
Why vote for Petita?
”As someone who spends a large amount of time sat at a desk I love the interaction that social media opens up for me. Getting involved from conception of an idea to the Distributors who sell it, and Fabricators who manufacture it to the end images posted online by a proud installer. It makes me want to don some overalls, get out there and get stuck in. There is nothing more satisfying!
For me, winning the award would be the end result of this last’s year’s hard work to make myself known as the ‘go to’ person online for anything MACO related. Then I can start all over again to defend my title next year!”
