In the second of our reviews on glasstec 2014 we look at some more success stories
The review in the October issue of the e-zine, dealt at length with how glasstec was a success in many senses, We have had some more of the experiences of some of the exhibitors.
The company had the theme: ‘Your partner in glass’ Euroglas has a wide range of glazing, from base glass applications to sophisticated ideas for facades and interiors. For this year’s show it focused on the DURACLEAR speciality glass, which is claimed to feature ‘excellent’ corrosion resistance and was shown for the first time in Düsseldorf.
The two-level stand presented glass as a material of sophisticated design – EUROLAMEX laminated safety glass with a grey filter between the two panes of float glass was used on the stand facade. The light tint created a modern look and acted as an unobtrusive screen for the meeting rooms behind it without fully concealing them. The stand also featured several meeting points for customer dialogue. At the centre of the product display was the new speciality glass coating, DURACLEAR, which is an anti-corrosion coating and is therefore suitable for all scenarios in which glass is exposed to moisture. Euroglas reports that it permanently retains its brilliance, whether used for bathrooms or roofed-over areas.
The company is a trading name of Armco Key Security and it reported that it was pleased with its debut, where it displayed a wireless security product.
“The response we received was extremely encouraging with significant interest from a global audience,” stated Daniel Rodwell, Chairman, GlazeAlarm. “Key feedback from all parts of the glass and window delivery chain, was that a wireless security system, integrated into a sealed glazed unit, was an exciting innovation. GlazeAlarm look forward to becoming involved with potential distribution partners across the globe in the coming weeks in order to commence production in 2015. glasstec 2014 has been a very productive and rewarding experience. The organisation of the event and quality of both exhibitors and attendees has been second to none. We look forward to showcasing further product innovations at glasstec in 2016.”
The company teamed up with Sparklike on the Edgetech Europe stand to demonstrate to visitors the recently launched data logging and printing feature which can keep a complete record of gas filling production and print an IG label showing this information.
“We had another great show at glasstec this year, with fantastic support from Edgetech Europe and Sparklike,” explained Chris Kemp, Director, Inagas. “As a global distributor of gas filling machines and test equipment it’s important to have a platform where we can meet with customers, prospects, partners and distributors in one place, and glasstec has once again delivered on this. While there didn’t seem to be as many IG manufacturers in attendance as in previous years, what we came away with was a host of very strong leads from all over the world, including Europe, Australia and the Middle East.”
