In the last of our reviews of glasstec in Germany, we see how the event worked for Edgetech, GGF and RegaLead
The European operation had a 25th birthday celebration as well as 10 years in Germany, throughout the show.
The company believes it has a range of products to keep customers ahead of the competition in every application, whether they need single seal (Duralite), dual seal (Super Spacer) or triple seal systems (TriSeal and T-Spacer) for double or triple glazed units, with good size and colour options across the range. Edgetech was also supported by Sparklike and Inagas that offered live demonstrations of how simple gas filling and testing can be with the right equipment and partners. “With all of these products and our team’s expert knowledge, our stand at glasstec was busy from the beginning of the show to the end, so we are thrilled with its success,” said Joachim Stoss, Managing Director with responsibility for Edgetech.
GLASS AND GLAZING FEDERATION (GGF)
The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) expressed satisfaction with glasstec.
It exhibited at the show primarily with the stated aim to support its members who were visiting and exhibiting.
Nigel Rees, GGF Group Chief Executive commented: “As expected, it was a very busy exhibition and we were pleased not only to provide a base for our members where they met potential clients, but also to develop new and existing relationships with the broader industry.”
He was backed by this view by Steve Rice, GGF Director of Glazing who added: “It was a great show and one which will undoubtedly increase the awareness of the GGF and its work. It was particularly good to see so many GGF members take advantage of the facilities and hospitality we provided.”
The importance for the company of glasstec lies in the fact that it has always been possibly the busiest show for it and it reported that 2014 was no exception.
“We came away with a record number of good quality leads from all around the world, with 70 countries represented in the final tally,” said Guy Hubble, Joint Managing Director, RegaLead. “As always, CadRam and ColorSpray proved particularly popular, alongside our core range of decorative components which included the latest additions to the film, bevel and fusion tile ranges.”
New for this year was a range of lamination products from its newly formed Glass Processing Products division and with full support from supplier and partner companies exhibiting at the show – evguard, GoldGlass, TK and Smart Builder on hand to lend support.
Caption The Edgetech stand was celebrating a double anniversary at this year’s glasstec – 25 years as a company and 10 years in Germany as Joachim Stoss, Managing Director with responsibility for Edgetech, explained.
