Phoenix Doors is proud to unveil its new, high performance 70mm rebated composite door range, ‘Meridian’. A game-changing, luxury product that will help installers meet today’s consumer demands and take full advantage of the premium composite door market.
Offering the highest specifications in security and A-rated thermal-efficiency, the 70mm double-rebated door with triple weatherseals and 50mm triple-glazing delivers outstanding weather, energy and acoustic performance. In addition, the Meridian range is manufactured to achieve Secured by Design as standard.
“We are extremely proud of the newest, premium addition to our comprehensive composite door range; the Meridian is a truly niche product for discerning homeowners, which in turn, creates exciting market opportunities for our customers,” says Haydon Statham, Phoenix Doors’ Sales Director. “With outstanding performance in all areas, the Meridian door ticks all the boxes for installers and consumers alike.”
Taking its name from the Meridian Wood, located next to the Phoenix door manufacturing facility at Bluntisham, the new range is being promoted as a ‘doorway to a greener future’. The innovative Meridian door, with a u-value as low as 1.0, is specifically-designed to champion sustainability and efficiency without compromising the natural environment by using the latest modern materials and manufacturing techniques.
To further underpin the Meridian door’s credentials as a truly industry-leading product, tests have shown it is 19% more thermally-efficient than a 48mm solid timber core composite door and 17% more thermally-efficient than a 44mm traditional timber panelled door.
Demonstrating their commitment to the environment and sustainability, Phoenix Doors has pledged its on-going support of Meridian Wood through the Woodland Trust and has sponsored a tree-planting scheme at the site to help ‘preserve and protect’ it for future generations to enjoy.
Alongside broadening choice for customers, an added benefit of the Meridian door is ease of installation, as Haydon explains: “Because double-rebate doors are easier to install and adjust on site compared to single-rebate doors, fitters will also love them. The double rebate allows for greater tolerances in movement between the door leaf and frame during installation – similar to installing a PVC panel door.”
The Meridian range delivers versatility and choice; the collection includes nine styles, all named after tree types and features both traditional and contemporary designs with five brand new and exclusive glazing options. Available in a palette of stylish new heritage colour finishes including French Grey, Duck Egg and Chartwell Green, plus bright solid colours like ‘Very Berry’ – the range has been designed to support installers and meet current consumer demand, whilst helping to create valuable new business opportunities for Phoenix customers. Furthermore, with the recent launch of Phoenix’s in-house paint spraying facility, catering for any specified RAL colour means that the personalisation options of Meridian are virtually limitless!
Haydon adds: “This is an important, elegant and market-leading addition to our GRP composite door range that we predict will make a positive impact with our customers and provide the broadest product range available today in the UK composite door market.”
To support the official June launch of this exciting new door range, Phoenix has produced a premium consumer brochure printed on environmentally-sustainable FSC® paper, dedicated Meridian point-of-sale material and a fully-responsive consumer website. This launch comes at an exciting time for Phoenix Doors, which will also be launching a new website to showcase their entire composite and uPVC panel door range, in conjunction with an innovative online ordering system.
