Quotatis, the leading consumer and business quotation service for home improvements, has added a major new feature which offers their expanding network of contractors the opportunity to gain insight into their customers’ opinions.
As part of the new upgrade, Quotatis contractors will have their own company page featuring their company logo where they can list the services they offer and the area they serve. They will have access to a new ratings and review feature, which allows consumers to give their contractor a star rating and a review in their own words, giving reassurance to future customers and helping contractors to build up their reputation.
Of the advantages of the new feature, Quotatis’ Head of Marketing Tom Crosswell said, “For many smaller companies this may be their prime source of feedback but for the larger ones with their own feedback system, it offers the benefit of completely independent data and reviews. The reviews are only from Quotatis users who have sought a quote from one of our sites or engaged the services of one of our members, so the problem of fake reviews, which other services suffer from, isn’t an issue.”
Also commenting on the recent BBC report that looked at businesses boosting their reputation by purchasing fake reviews, Tom explained why the new Quotatis ratings and reviews system will not be affected by this: “Our review system is a ‘closed loop’ one. This means it isn’t open to fake reviews in the same way other platforms are. You can only submit a review if you’ve had dealings with that particular contractor.”
The new company profile pages offer an overall rating based on the reviews customers have left. They can gain valuable insight into the perception of their business, allowing them to assess every aspect of their consumer facing product from pricing to telephone manner of staff. Quotatis monitor contractor ratings and their customer service team are on hand to offer help and advice on how to improve their rating.
The launch from Quotatis comes as it emerges that the government has struck off hundreds of companies doing work on behalf of the Green Deal after breaking its code of practice, leading to worries that rogue traders could have ripped off thousands of homeowners. It is more important than ever that consumers can see reviews of contractors before agreeing to have any work done. Quotatis ensures that their network includes only the best contractors, and the ratings and reviews feature helps consumers to get the best service and companies to get more business from happy, informed customers.
