Sealed unit manufacturer and Uni-Blinds® integral blind supplier Morley Glass and Glazing, has appointed its first apprentice who is studying towards an NVQ level 3 in glass processing.
The Leeds-based company which employs 50 staff is supporting 17 year old Kieron Buchan, who plans to achieve a Business Management Degree, after completing his two year apprenticeship programme.
Kieron Buchan is working towards his qualification at Morley Glass’s busy factory and is learning all areas of glass processing including cutting, shaping, assembling and finishing products. The apprenticeship is run by North Lancs Training Group.
Keiron said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to work with such a successful business, and one that is willing to invest in my future. I appreciate that I’ve got a lot to learn but it’s an exciting environment and I feel I have a great future ahead of me. There’s a huge commitment to quality and service throughout all areas of the business, so I’m in the best place – and will learn from the best.”
