That’s what actor Hugh Dennis said when presenting the award to Brighouse based Quickslide at the prestigious ‘Build-it’ awards in London last week when they were awarded the Best Window category for the company’s traditionally-styled PVC-U sash window.
The company, which employs more than 100 staff at its Bradford Road site, beat more than 160 hopefuls to add to its other recent successes, including ‘Training and Development Company of the Year at the glazing industry’s ‘G Award’s’ and Brighouse Business of the Year.
The award was made by the judges for Quickslide’s traditionally-styled vertical sliding window, which offers the owners of period homes the ability to maintain the appearance of their properties whilst enjoying all the benefits of modern windows, including substantial energy savings compared to the windows they replace. Quickslide is generally credited with popularising this sector of the market with thousands of its windows installed in homes throughout the UK.
Quickslide is no stranger to picking up awards for excellence including local business awards in addition to recognition by its peers in national competitions for the window manufacturing industry. “We are delighted with the Build It Best Window Award” said the company’s Chairman, Adrian Barraclough, “because it means so much to our fantastic team. They are obsessive about quality and proud to be the people behind the best company in its sector in the UK.”
