This year marks the third outing of the FIT show at Telfords International Exhibition Centre and Alpro Architectural Hardware’s second attendance to the event. The FIT show is the primary focus for the UK window, door and conservatory industry and has expanded its exhibition space this year to accommodate the continuing growth of exhibitors and visitors. The show has grown at such a rate, that this year will be the final year the show will be hosted at its current location. As of May 2017, Birminghams NEC arena will become the new home of the FIT show, exhibiting 23rd – 25th May with the next show returning back to the NEC from 21st – 23rd May 2019.
The move is a reflection of the amount of innovation and development that is going on in the industry at the moment, which is a promising insight to the growth and health of the industry and its future. At Alpro, we plan on being part of, and contributing to, that growth and future. Alpro will be exhibiting once again this year at the show on stand 114. This is part of Alpro’s long ranging strategy that aims to promote the company’s product and services to the fabricator and installer community through every available means.
The show aims to forge a bridge between the manufacturers and distributors of products, components and services. Alpro Sales Director, Keith Parry said: “This show and its visitors represent a very important market sector for us. Coupled with the new European standards, Alpro want to ensure the message gets across as to what is actually required rather than what people think is required”.
The Alpro product range comprises a variety of contemporary handle styles, which are both hard wearing and aesthetically pleasing, with bespoke designs available to your own specifications. The Alpro range also includes deadlocks, deadlatches, lock accessories, cylinders, both surface and transom door closers, flushbolts, armoured strikes, digital locks, lever and paddle handles. All of which have been designed for use in the commercial aluminium door industry.
A variety of electro-mechanical products complement this impressive product portfolio, designed to meet the needs of the demanding access control market segment. Products include electric strikes, deadlocking bolts, compact shearlocks, cabinet locks, waterproof keypads, exit switches and more. The vortex range of environmentally friendly magnets will also be on display. Which incorporate a mechanical holding feature as well as an electrical one.
This year marks the launch of Alpro’s brand new electronic side load lock. Also known as the Cobalt YD30 and Cobalt Mini is a revolutionary low voltage motor driven electronic lock for both 90° and 180° swing doors. It has been designed to secure double action doors and addresses the two biggest issues in door locking; the ability to align a misaligned door and the ability to release when requested, even with excessive load on the door.
To celebrate the launch of this new impressive product and to welcome it into the Alpo product family, Alpro will be running a promotion with a draw taking place for the winner to win a Tablet on the final day of the exhibition. Participants wanting to enter the prize draw simply need to deposit their business card or contact details on the Alpro stand.
