You can’t help but notice lately that Birmingham based window and door system supplier Selecta Systems are making lots of noise in the industry when it comes to being the unique, flexible and friendly system house supplier. Sales Director Andy Green talks to us about the #bepartofthefamily marketing campaign and what new developments are in store for their emerging customer base.
A Family Affair…
For some time now, Selecta have gone about their business quietly and in a way that only those whom become part of it, really know the true values of being one of the ‘Selecta family’. What is it that makes Selecta different from the competition?
Andy explains “For years Selecta have been successful in what we do, but yet we’re an unknown entity to those who’ve never been part of or associated with Selecta! We have genuine relationships with our customers and offer a friendly, flexible and caring service which in our view surpasses the competition. With Selecta remaining as the only family owned UK based system company, we’ve built on this family connection, hence the #bepartofthefamily marketing campaign”.
“Although we pride ourselves on our service and care, our products are a force to be reckoned with too! The Advance 70 System continues to go from strength to strength which has led to the launch of a new range of colour options and integrated products”.
Selecta in Colour…
“There are now 15 colours available to customers which offers 30 colour options for each of the Advance 70 Chamfered and Sculptured Systems, MASTERslide Patio and MASTERfold Bi-fold Door Systems. Anthracite Grey (7016) popularity has seen coloured sales increase dramatically over the last 12 months with Selecta seeing coloured foiled profile sales increase by 80%. This has also seen the introduction of two brand new colour options, with Selecta being the first UK system house company to offer the new Desert Oak and Mountain Oak foiled finishes. Mountain Oak and the lighter Desert Oak bring a more modernised stain into the range, providing lighter wood effect options to the existing Golden Oak, Irish Oak and Rosewood foils”.
Feeling Very Flush…
Another new development available by the end of the year is the introduction of a flush fit sash for the Advance 70 System. Andy enlightens ourselves why this is such an important move forward for both Selecta and the fabrication of flush fit windows.
“The Selecta Flush Fit Sash will be a profile section that sits within the current Advance 70 System, therefore enabling fabricators to manufacture flush sash windows without having to bring in a whole new system, machinery and tooling, keeping their stock levels down and reducing their financial outlay. This also makes the fabricators role a lot easier without continually having to change settings on machinery. Also, as the flush fit sash integrates with the Advance 70 System there is no requirement for new hardware, as the existing hardware can be used, again reducing stock volumes and costs. Our aim is to provide fabricators with a flush fit sash option that requires very little business outlay, being able to integrate with the Advance 70 and existing hardware whilst also available at a competitive price, of which we’re sure we’ve achieved”.
In Full Swing…
The introduction of the flush fit sash is not where the developments end for Selecta! Preparations are in full swing, pardon the pun, with the imminent introduction of an innovative and revolutionary option to the bi-fold door.
“The Advance 70 Swing and Slide Door, appropriately named EASi-Fold because of the simplicity of the operation, is a multi-pane door with independently opening sashes with no visible hinges or hardware, just a simple handle on the master door. Having these independently opening and sliding sashes means easier handling when opening and closing, as each sash opens individually, glides effortlessly, pivots and folds in to place with ease and little force. The Advance 70 EASi-Fold Door will be the most consumer friendly panoramic door option available on the market” describes Andy.
“With PAS 24 / Document Q and Secured by Design testing for compliance being carried out, it will certainly tick all the boxes when it comes to security”.
