This year The Consultancy has decided to join the MADi Fundraising team and dust off their driving gloves by taking part in the MADI Ball Rally.
Originally set up in 2014 by Leon Day of Universal Arches, Dan Gill of Residence Collection and Gareth Mobley of Solidor, the fundraising was aimed to provide support to the Anthony Nolan Trust, one that is very close to the hearts of the three founders.
The Anthony Nolan Trust works to help those suffering with blood cancer by matching blood stem cells or bone marrow that have been donated to people who desperately need lifesaving transplants. Not only does the charity work tirelessly to find donor matches, but it also uses its resources to educate young people about the lifesaving differences that can be made by joining the register, as well as conducting groundbreaking research to increase the success rates of transplants, hoping to improve the lives of those living with blood cancer.
After hearing about the great work that the Madi Fundrasing team does to help charities, such as the Anthony Nolan Trust, The Consultancy could not wait to lend a helping hand in raising support and awareness for this amazing cause.
Having been a company working in the industry for over 10 years, The Consultancy has seen the support and encouragement the glazing industry has offered to one another when setting out to partake in fundraising events.
Richie Thornton, Director of The Consultancy said, “ It’s been amazing to see the way this industry comes together to support those who are fundraising for great causes.
“The MADi Ball Rally was something that we considered in its first year, and the money that was raised for the Anthony Nolan Trust was enough to make up our minds that this was something we wanted to get involved in.”
The MADi Ball Rally will see members of the fenestration industry come together in an extensively planned convoy drive from England to Monaco. With an aim of raising more than the first years’ rally, which totalled at a stunning £130,000, the team is set to complete over 27.5 hours of driving set across three days.
Richie continued, “Following a Modern Classics theme, myself and Paul will be representing The Consultancy in a MG MGB Roadster.
“We’ve worked for a long time in this industry helping to influence companies to progress in to the digital age, so we’re delighted to be able to use that influence now to help raise awareness for such a great cause.”
