Synseal Group’s Head of R&D Phil Parry reveals the new WarmCore products you’ll see at this year’s FIT Show and explains why they’re asking fabricators and installers to take the WarmCore challenge.
This FIT Show is unlike any exhibition before for us at Synseal Group as we take two brand specific stands to the show including one for our warm aluminium range, WarmCore.
Since we launched the WarmCore window system at the FIT Show last year, the cycle of development within my team has been non-stop and we’ve already launched both a new WarmCore SV slim vent window and a WarmCore Fixed Roof Light for the Celsius Solid Roof in the past few weeks, which both utilise the revolutionary thermal core at the heart of the WarmCore system.
We’ve made it very clear from the first launch of the WarmCore folding sliding door in 2014 that thermal efficiency is our number one priority, and we’ve proven this by producing very low U-values across the product range which are comparable even with many PVC-U products. This is as low as U1.3 double glazed and U0.8 triple glazed for windows – including on our slim sash – and U1.4 and U1.0 respectively for our door range.
However, we’ve not allowed our determination to be the market leaders in thermal efficiency to detriment our ability to produce beautiful, aesthetically pleasing products which tick all of the boxes for installers and homeowners.
One of our aims in expanding the WarmCore range is to offer our customers a full suite of high performance aluminium products so that specifiers and installers have the flexibility to incorporate a range of products into both new build and retrofit projects. The full range includes bi-fold, residential and French doors, and casement, tilt & turn and slim vent windows. We are also one of the only systems to offer a flush sash casement window and triple glazing across our full window and door suite – both of which are available with our SV window too.
In addition, WarmCore has recently been acoustically tested to deliver a sound reduction value of 45dB (-2;-5) in its standard form without the need for any complicated componentry or gaskets.
Perhaps most importantly to our customers, WarmCore is really easy to fabricate. It uses a unique cam lock system which enables easy corner jointing and minimal investment in manufacturing machinery, which saves a lot of time and money for fabricators setting up to use aluminium for the first time.
We also designed the composite structure of the profile so that dual colour could be achieved at the point of manufacture, rather than adding an unnecessary off-site operation. This reduces lead time on dual colour by weeks compared to other systems – with many of our fabricators choosing to take mill finish material to enable them to coat in any RAL colour, giving them as much colour flexibility as they want.
These are just a few of the stand-out features that make WarmCore so unique. There’s lots of reasons why we think WarmCore is the most flexible and high performing aluminium product out there – but we don’t want customers to just take our word for it, we want them to see these benefits for themselves.
So we’re asking all fabricators and installers who are coming to the FIT Show to take the WarmCore challenge. Ask yourself the following questions: Can your aluminium system achieve double glazed U-values of U1.3 for windows and U1.4 for doors? Can you triple glaze your slim vent windows? Is flush sash an option? Are you guaranteed PAS24 compliant products as standard? Is your system’s acoustic data published? If you answered no to any of these questions, visit us on Stand R15 at the FIT Show and find out what WarmCore is all about. We think you will be seriously impressed.
